This is my go to Chinese food! Have not found one that can beat them. This is just great food. Have been going to them for almost 10 years now and have not had a problem worth mentioning:

This place is definitely my go-to when it comes towards Chinese food in the area.
The quality of the food is good, the service is good, and the prices are fair.
The prices are a little more than I'm used to spending when it comes towards Chinese, but since the quality is good and so is the service (I've never received an error with my order) I can't complain. -

Great Wall is the best Chinese restaurant in Thomaston. I have had meals from this place about a dozen times and have not been disappointed.
The Restaurant: Good location, close to the center of town and about 30 seconds from Rt. 8. Although the address is Electric Ave, it's right on East Main St. It's kind of sunk down on the street level. There is street parking in front and a lot in back. Nothing fancy inside, just a counter and a few small tables. It's really just a take-out/pick up set up, not designed for dining but you could eat there if needed. The place is clean but not polished. What I noticed most is the smell, or lack of smell really. Of course, it smells like cooking food. But it doesn't smell like grease or dingy or anything. I notice that greasy, dingy smell in many take-out places. This place just smells fresh, clean, and delicious.
The Food: Very good. Not particularly unique or impressive, basically a straight-forward menu that you'd expect. The ingredients seem fresh. Dishes aren't overly greasy. And I've never had that "I think this was cooked earlier and heated for my order" feeling. Prices are very good (some things even seen too cheap). The 3 items I think make or break a Chinese restaurant are white rice, fried rice, and lo mein. All three are excellent here. I also think their soups are particularly good. Their boneless ribs are great, I get them in the Lunch Special.
The Service: Very good. Counter service people and delivery people have always been very friendly and polite and seem genuinely thankful for your business. English is a little choppy, which is par for the course, but it's never interfered with order accuracy or anything.
I didn't give it a 5 because I've been to better Chinese take-out places (not near Thomaston) and it also didn't have a "wow" factor that I think a 5 should have. But this place is great for what it is and I recommend it. -
